Library

The MCA Lewis Library and Artist Research Centre provides access to a unique collection of books, catalogues, and art journals which reflect the MCA history and exhibitions and share information about Australian and international artists.

Our Philosophy
The MCA Library is dedicated to supporting individual approaches to learning.
Learning in the visual arts, is a unique process. Individuals may look for information about the image through journal articles, books and/or catalogues. They may be inspired by the image itself and seek information around this personal response. The library supports each learners search through careful listening (the reference interview), direction to resources and by providing a warm reflective space where these interests may be explored.

The MCA Library is a reference library (items not for loan).

Enquiries are welcomed to the MCA Librarian Margaret Gor on +61 2 9245 2453 or library@mca.com.au
