Exhibition in Focus

An in-depth investigation of an exhibition, focusing on artists’ practice and curatorial themes and ideas.

Led by MCA Artist Educators, Exhibition in Focus programs put an exhibition under the spotlight in an investigative Gallery Exploration. Zero in on an artist’s practice through an examination of their concepts, process and approach to materials. Identify unifying themes and ideas within the exhibition and reflect on curatorial decision-making. Observe how audiences engage with and respond to what they see, and make personal connections with artworks through active creative learning strategies.

Exhibition in Focus programs may cover two exhibitions within a 90-minute program upon request.
