string theory Artist Talks

Come and hear exhibiting artists from string theory: Focus on contemporary Australian art speak about their works and practices. Broaden your understanding of contemporary Aboriginal art from a broad range of artists working with traditional techniques and contemporary methods. Questions welcome.

Friday 16 August
Look closer at the works of Tony Albert, Dale Harding, Laurie Nilsen and Vicki West, and hear about their works and the development of Aboriginal art across generations in Brisbane. Questions welcome.

Saturday 17 August
Meet Boolarng Nangamai Artists, Yirrkala Printmakers Eunice Djerrkngu Marika and Dipililnga Marika with Robyn McKenzie, Noongar Doll Makers, Tjanpi Desert Weavers, Yarrenyty Arltere Artists and Regina Pilawuk Wilson as they speak about their works, their lives and their communities. Questions welcome.
