Talk

Sleepers Awake: Artist talk for teachers
– Casula Powerhouse Arts Centre

For ten days and nine nights in May, Bungarribee, a new park in Western Sydney Parklands, will be lit from dusk to dawn by the spectacular floating artwork Sleepers Awake.

UK-based artists Ivan and Heather Morison are known for their large scale sculptural installations, one-off happenings, theatre performances and gallery-based projects. In recent years, the artists have undertaken unique school residency projects, imagining new possibilities for creativity within the school environment.

Teachers in Western Sydney are invited to a special presentation by the artists at Casula Powerhouse Arts Centre. After the talk, we encourage you to make your own way to Bungarribee, to view the work and enjoy the community performance program taking place each night between 5.30-7.30pm for the duration of Sleepers Awake.

Access free online resources for Sleepers Awake produced by the artists and the MCA Learning team.
