The MCA is pleased to announce an exciting new film series in partnership with Screen Australia. Designed to raise pride in Australian film, this new initiative will offer MCA Members and visitors new opportunities to engage their aesthetic senses, celebrate our nation’s creative minds and connect with the work of living artists. Choose your favourites from our top picks, which all have a strong focus on the arts, and enjoy a refreshing bottle of Dr Pilkington’s Miracle Cider or Vale Ale Beer with your admission, courtesy of Vale Brewing.

The inspirational true story of Li Cuxin, adapted from his best-selling autobiography and telling how, amidst the chaos of Mao’s Cultural Revolution, he was chosen to leave his peasant family and sent on an amazing journey towards freedom and personal triumph. Directed by Bruce Beresford.
