About Athena Cabot
Athena Cabot is a published essayist with a background in creative and analytical writing. Her work has been printed in academic anthologies in the United States.
A native Californian, Athena has also lived in Ireland and England, before relocating to Sydney, Australia. Her adventures moving from place to place and living in different countries inspired her to start travel writing, which eventually evolved into a collection of fictional short stories. Themes in her work include one’s relationship to place, sense of belonging in foreign and familiar landscapes, nostalgia, and the magic of ephemeral things and fleeting moments. Athena finds beauty and power in the written word and believes it can take you anywhere.
Athena Cabot is an Artist Educator at MCA Australia.
