Talk

In Conversation with Maria Lind

The conversation with Maria Lind is an opportunity to discover how innovative curators are approaching the dynamic relationship amongst art, exhibitions, audiences, and the experiences of the real world. Her work on mediating art is central to recent museum and exhibition developments that focus on rethinking the curatorial as “a way of linking objects, images, processes, people, locations, histories, and discourses in physical space.”

Maria Lind is a curator and critic based in Stockholm, where she is the director of Tensta Konsthall. She has held various roles in recent years including Director of the Graduate Program, Center for Curatorial Studies, Bard College, Director of Iaspis in Stockholm, and Director of Kunstverein München. She was recently appointed the artistic director for the 2016 Gwangju Biennale.
