Everything is Illuminated
– Ross Gibson in Conversation with Bruce Ramus

Join artist and academic Ross Gibson for a multidisciplinary exploration of light and the works in the exhibition MCA Collection: Luminous

Canadian born, Bruce Ramus began his career as a light artist in live music when he was nineteen. He has designed and directed countless shows including U2, R.E.M., David Bowie, David Byrne and James Brown, as well as the Academy Awards, Grammy Awards, MTV Awards, ARIA awards and Super Bowl Halftime events.

In 2006 Bruce moved to Melbourne and formed Ramus Illumination, a design studio with a focus on interactive lighting installations, architectural facades, precinct activation and lighting and video design.
