Conference

Educators conference: 6-7 April
– The National 2017: New Australian Art

Held at the Art Gallery of New South Wales, Carriageworks and the Museum of Contemporary Art Australia (MCA), this conference will address current critical thinking and art practices in contemporary Australian art, responding specifically to artworks and artists in The National 2017: New Australian Art exhibition.

Join art-making workshops and discussions with contemporary artists, connect with curators and education specialists from 3 key institutions and explore new ideas and strategies for the classroom with your colleagues.

The Art Gallery of NSW and the Museum of Contemporary Art Australia are endorsed to provide QTC registered professional development for teachers accredited at Proficient Teacher level. Completing The National 2017: new Australian art educators conference you will contribute 7 hours of QTC addressing 2.1.2, 2.2.2, 3.3.2, 3.4.2, 6.2.2 and 6.4.2 from the Australian Professional Standards for Teachers towards maintaining Proficient Accreditation in NSW.

*This ticket gives you access to the evening reception at Carriageworks and the whole day at the MCA and AGNSW.

*Please note that transport between venues is not included (The walk from MCA to AGNSW takes about 20 minutes. Train from Circular Quay to St James takes 14 mins).

*Evening reception only tickets available for friends of conference attendees, when you book a conference ticket.
