Expect the unexpected when you come to ARTBAR.

ARTBAR takes your gallery experience and flips it on its head with an artist driven evening of art, music and performance. Kicking off on the last Friday of every month, this adults only event transforms all levels of the MCA.

It’s art, but not as you know it.

Artist Salote Tawale will bring the Museum to life, with performances, interactive spaces, cooking demos, rooftop DJ’s and so much more!

About Salote Tawale
Salote was born in Suva, Fiji Islands and grew up in the South Eastern suburbs of Melbourne and is now based in Sydney, NSW. She has been a lecturer and tutor in Photomedia and Studio Practice at Monash, Deakin Universities and UNSW as well as developed and taught various workshops for school and community groups over the past 20 years. Salote’s practice covers multi-disciplinary works, installation, video, multimedia, and performance. She also frequently collaborates with other artists and collectives.
