Special Event

ARTBAR
– curated by Destiny Deacon, Fri 28 Nov

Back in Blak

Book a date with Destiny for the last ARTBAR of the year as part of Corroboree Sydney. Melbourne-based artist Destiny Deacon plus friends sprinkle the night with big ideas, theatrics and wicked humour. Unwind with comedy by Shiralee Hood, cabaret by Clinton Nain and Deb Williams, plus a talk by the always fun-inducing Richard Bell.

Zoe Coombs-Marr continues the LOLs with extracts from her Melbourne Comedy Festival Performance Dave and respected Indigenous curator Djon Mundine takes a satirical look at the mysterious Aboriginal character in B grade horror films.

Australian artist William Yang presents Artworks around the World – stories of his global explorations of art gallery culture.

Want more? Catch musical performances by Nadeena Dixon and Pascoe Braun. Get hands-on in a workshop led by MCA Artist Educator Will French. Or see Chuck Close: Prints, Process and Collaboration for a little extra* ($10).

When you’re ready to perch atop four levels of art and performances the Sculpture Terrace has uninterrupted summer views of Sydney Harbour with DJ Leo Tanoi to accompany.
