Special Event

ARTBAR
– Curated by Haines & Hinterding

Prepare to be captivated as Australian artist duo David Haines and Joyce Hinterding transform the MCA for an electric MCA ARTBAR driven by Audi.

Collaborating with contemporary artists and musicians for one night only, Haines and Hinterding will explore the invisible energies that surround us drawing inspiration from their MCA exhibition Energies: Haines and Hinterding.

Put on your imaginary lab coat and;

  • Strap on the EEG headset and look at how your brain reacts to different stimuli
  • Catch tingles during a live audio-visual synthesiser performance
  • Get answers to the question; can plants make music, and communicate with us?
  • Be struck by Lightning Girl – the feminist arthouse industrial punk band from the Blue Mountains.

Plus more #weirdscience, music by local DJs, themed cocktails and the best view of Sydney Harbour.
