Special Event

SOLD OUT: ARTBAR
– Curated by Koji Ryui

UH-OH This is event SOLD OUT. Limited tickets available at the door

Meet Sydney’s underground cult legends and performers in a night of multisensory happening at the MCA titled ‘A Happening’.

Curated by Koji Ryui the night is full of cosmic offerings that blur the lines between art and non-art, reality and fantasy, seeing and not seeing. Ryui creates a quasi-psychedelic space of mind altering surprises drawing from Art and Subcultures.

Contributing artists and creative will extend their repertoire for one night only.

Experience ARTBAR located somewhere between surreal and absurd, with visual stimulus such as the Gysin and Burroughs’s Dream Machine (to be seen with eyes closed) and DIY one-eyed 3D glasses.

Gentle olfactory sensations will transform your Friday night. Turn corners and come across experimental live music, sound art performances or join a 15 minute rave.

ARTBAR is the stuff that dreams are made of. It’s a dream-like sequence, you never know what you will see when you turn the next corner.
