Special Event

ARTBAR
– The Primavera Edition

Spring has arrived in full bloom with a fresh crop of young Australian artists mapping out ‘The Primavera Edition’ of ARTBAR curated by Taloi Havini.

Rifting off themes in the exhibition, Havini explores ideas of identity, place and culture through dance, performance and live music.

Move your jelly in an energetic Jamaican Dancehall workshop with Caroline Garcia, explore video works by Abdul Abdullah and Steaphan Paton, and add to the important social project, 1 million stars against violence.

How are artists returning to culture and tackling issues of identity and power? How does location shape who we are? Find out at ARTBAR.

What is Primavera? It’s our annual exhibition of young Australian artists aged 35 years and under. See it from 22 Sep – 6 Dec.
