Charles Sofo

b.1983 :

Raised in Canberra and now based in Melbourne, Charlie Sofo has held regular solo exhibitions since graduating from the Australian National University School of Art in 2005. Recent solo exhibitions include I Wish I Were Smaller, Darren Knight Gallery, Sydney (2010), I Wander, Heide Museum of Modern Art, Melbourne (2010), Facts, Utopian Slumps, Melbourne (2009), and Particular Particles, Darren Knight Gallery, Sydney (2008).

His work has been included in numerous group exhibitions including Tell Me Tell Me: Australian and Korean Art 1976-2011, Museum of Contemporary Art, Sydney / National Museum of Contemporary Art, Korea (2011); Unguided Tours, Anne Landa Award for Video and New Media arts 2011, Art Gallery of New South Wales, Sydney (2011); No room to hide, Macquarie University, Sydney; and Sudden gestures or noises, Artspace, Auckland, New Zealand (2011). Charlie Sofo is represented by Darren Knight Gallery, Sydney.
