Information on how to enter forms part of the terms and conditions of entry. Entry into the promotion is deemed acceptance of these terms and conditions.
The promoter is Museum of Contemporary Art (ABN 15 003 765 517) of 140 George Street, The Rocks, NSW, 2000; telephone number 02 9245 2400 (Promoter).
The promotion commences at 6am AEST on 10 December 2009 and closes at 11.59pm on 11 April 2010 (Promotion Period).
Entry is open only to Australian residents (Eligible Entrants). Directors, management, employees and their immediate families of the Promoter and its related bodies corporate and registered travel companions of employees of the Promoter are not eligible to enter this promotion.
To enter, Eligible Entrants must during the Promotion Period submit an online entry at www.eliasson.com.au describing in 25 words or less “how it felt to experience one of Olafur Eliasson's works included in Take your time: Olafur Eliasson". This is a game of skill, and chance plays no part in determining the winners.
Each Eligible Entrant is permitted one entry only into the promotion.
The entries will be judged by a panel of judges appointed by the Promoter and one winner will be chosen on 21 April 2010 at the Museum of Contemporary Art, 140 George Street, The Rocks, NSW, 2000 in the judges' absolute discretion. The panel will consist of a representative of the MCA Education, Curatorial and Marketing departments, and a representative of Right Angle Publishing. Entries will be judged based on creativity and wit. The Promoter is not responsible for any late, lost or misdirected entries.
The judges' decision is final and no correspondence will be entered into.
One (1) prize will be awarded in total. The maximum total prize value is $7900 inclusive of GST and based on the recommended retail value and the exchange rate at the time of printing. The Promoter accepts no responsibility for any variation in the prize value.
The prize consists of:
Two (2) return economy class tickets to Copenhagen flying Scandinavian Airlines from Sydney/Melbourne/Brisbane/Perth via Asia, utilising the direct intercontinental services of SAS and selected partner airlines.
5 nights twin share accommodation at Adina Apartment Hotel Copenhagen in a one bedroom apartment;
The prize does not include travel insurance, passports, visas, meals, taxes not included in the price of the ticket, ground transportation, insurance, or any other costs of a personal nature not stated. Compliance with any health or other government requirements is the responsibility of the/each prize-winner and companion.
Prize is valid for travel until April 21, 2011 or the prize will be forfeited.
Prize accommodation will be issued in the form of an accommodation gift certificate and is for accommodation only. It does not include any extra charges such as mini-bar, in-house movies, telephone usage etc. A valid credit card must be presented at check-in to cover any incidentals incurred throughout the stay.
Flights must be booked and tickets issued by November 30, 2010 or the prize will be forfeited. Travel must commence from Australia. The Winner and their companion must travel together on all prize flights.
All components of the prize are subject to availability at the time of booking, which is the responsibility of the winner(s). The Winner and their companion are ineligible for the accrual of points/miles benefits of any airline or hotel loyalty program, nor can points be utilised on prize flights or accommodation.
Each prize must be taken as stated and no compensation will be payable if a winner is unable to use the prize as stated in the time stipulated. Prizes are not exchangeable or redeemable for cash or other goods or services. A prize cannot be transferred to any other person, unless agreed to by the Promoter. There can be no changes made to travel arrangements once tickets are issued.
All winners will be notified by telephone and also by mail within 2 days of judging.
If any act, omission, event or circumstance occurs which is beyond the reasonable control of the Promoter and which prevents the Promoter from complying with these terms and conditions, the Promoter will not be liable for any failure to perform or delay in performing its obligations and the Promoter reserves the right (subject to any applicable law) to cancel, terminate or modify or suspend this promotion.
The Promoter, its related bodies corporate and their respective officers, employees and agents will not be liable for any loss, damage or personal injury whatsoever (including but not limited to direct, indirect and consequential loss) suffered or sustained in connection with this promotion, the promotion of this promotion or the use of any prize, except for any liability which cannot be excluded by law (in which case that liability is limited to the minimum allowable by law).
Entry details remain the property of the Promoter. The entries may be used for promotional purposes by the Promoter during the course of the Promotion Period. Eligible Entrants consent to the Promoter using personal information provided in connection with this promotion for the purposes of facilitating the conduct of the promotion and awarding any prizes.
