Our philosophy
Learning in the visual arts, is a unique process. Individuals may look for information about the image through journal articles, books and catalogues. Or they may be inspired by the image itself and seek information around this personal response. The library supports each learners search through careful listening (the Reference interview), direction to resources and by providing a warm reflective space where these interests may be explored.

On Mondays, Thursdays and Fridays, the library is staffed by volunteers. While our volunteers make every effort to honour their commitments to the library, they may be prevented from doing so due to unforeseeable circumstances. We encourage users to ring the library before they visit on the days that the library is staffed by volunteers.
