Bella Bookings


MCA Learning programs connect students and teachers with contemporary art through innovative creative learning approaches. Bella is a free program individually tailored to engage and inspire people with specific needs to explore contemporary art.

The following information may assist with your booking:

  • Bella is a free program for children and young people aged 5-18 with physical, intellectual, behavioural or sensory disability
  • Bella Plus is a free program for adults with physical, intellectual, behavioural or sensory disability
  • Each Bella session is individually tailored to the specific needs, size and interests of your group
  • Bella is a 90 minute session led by MCA Artist Educators. We can also tailor a 60 minute program
  • Regular Bella Programs are offered on Mondays during school term time
  • The regular Monday program includes Session 1 at 10.00-11.30am or Session 2 at 12.30-2.00pm. Bella bookings can also be made at other times by special arrangement.

Bella includes:

  • Exploring contemporary artworks in our MCA galleries
  • Practical art-making activities in our creative and digital studios
  • Visiting our Bella Room, where each year a different artist is commissioned to create an interactive artwork for people with specific needs

Bella is a flexible program and wherever possible we accommodate requests for programs on different days and times including weekends and school holidays.

If you would like opportunity to discuss the program further or the individual needs of your group, please contact MCA Learning on 02 9245 2400.

  • Bookings should be made at least 4 weeks in advance either online or over the phone.
  • If you are making multiple bookings or you are hoping to visit on a date that is less than 4 weeks away, please contact MCA Learning directly on 02 9245 2400.

Please have the following information ready when you call:

  • Date and time of your visit (Due to high demand your first preference may not be available)
  • School/Organisation name and contact details
  • Number or participants
  • Age/ Year level of participants
  • Details of participants’ physical and learning support needs
  • Exhibition/s you would like to view during your visit
  • Let us know what you are hoping to gain from your visit so that we can tailor your program accordingly

Bella and Bella Plus are FREE programs


Group Bookings:

  • All bookings will receive official confirmation. Please bring this confirmation with you on the day.
  • Cancellation notice of 7 working days must be given, otherwise you may be charged for the cost of the program. Funding for the Bella Program is limited – reasonable notice of cancellation enables us to make your program available to others.


Contact MCA Learning to create your own unique visit to the MCA as part of the Bella program.

Bella programs are offered in combination with access programs at the Sydney Opera House for groups planning a whole day excursion.

Digital Excursions can also be tailored to the needs of your group for participants who are unable to visit the MCA.
