Young Ambassadors

Anyone aged 18 to 40 with an interest in contemporary art and a desire to give something back to the arts can become an MCA Young Ambassador. Young Ambassadors enjoy a dynamic, year-long schedule of privileged, behind-the-scenes art-based events at the MCA and other arts venues across Sydney and Australia.

Our annual schedule of exclusive events gives a unique perspective on the exciting world of contemporary art. As well as receiving MCA Membership benefits, each MCA Young Ambassador will have access to a multitude of exciting opportunities to view and learn about art within the MCA and across Sydney and Australia. This schedule of annual events includes MCA exhibition openings, MCA private viewings, artist studio visits, interstate visits, private collection visits, corporate collection visits, commercial gallery visits, collecting contemporary art talks among others.

The MCA Young Ambassadors has an annual membership fee of $500 per person, including GST. Young Ambassador membership entitles the member to a single invitation to events.

The key is quality. There is something for everyone and members come away feeling nourished, inspired, and desperate for more!

The MCA Young Ambassadors celebrate the MCA’s 21st Birthday

On 10 November 2012, over 200 people joined the MCA Young Ambassadors for a fundraising rooftop party to celebrate the MCA’s 21st birthday. The evening raised funds for Primavera, the MCA’s annual exhibition for Australian artists aged 35 years and under.
