Workshop

The Real and the Replica

Discover the process of life casting and mould making using silicone and wax to create your own works inspired by objects and works in the MCA’s exhibitions.

For the workshop we will be using Pinkysil. Pinkysil is a two-part liquid silicone which is used for small body or object casts. The silicone is a unique product that is safe, quick and easy to use and will consequently provide a mould for multiple casts of the same form. Plaster, wax or resin can be used to cast the silicone mould.

Bring a plastic lunch box to carry works home in. Materials will be provided.
