Say Goodbye to the Australian Dream

Hosted by Tim Ross

Volume One: MCA Collection explores the work of more than 130 Australian artists, reflecting the breadth of Australian contemporary art over the past 20 years.

Thinking back 20 years, as Ford and Holden wind down their Australian operations and the price of real-estate means that many Sydneysiders will never afford a home with a backyard, it appears that the sun may be setting on the Australian dream. But do Australians who have grown up in apartments with cheap imported cars even care? Join writer and director, Paul Clarke (Whitlam: The Power and The Passion, Wide Open Road), television producer Sarah Sinson (The Morning Show, Channel 7) and actor and writer Adam Zwar (Lowdown, Wilfred) to ask how has this changed our sense of identity and how much of our Australian identity is truly shared?

The creative driving force behind Australia’s highest rating morning program The Morning Show on Channel 7, Executive Producer Sarah Stinson is responsible for almost 20 hours of live national TV very week.

She began shaping her career in television at a young age of 18, as an intern in the Channel Nine newsroom. Her initiative to push the boundaries, both in and out of the field, saw her work her way up to a senior producer role at A Current Affair.

In 2005, Stinson moved over to the Seven network as Chief of Staff on Today Tonight. It was five years after, that she teamed up with The Morning Show, taking up the role of Executive Producer. Recently Sarah also added another string to her bow with Channel 7’s newest afternoon show, The Daily Edition.

As an EP for two shows, Sarah balances producing exciting original content with the business side of things, all the while keeping an intense eye on the ratings. On a daily basis she acts as a lead negotiator, split-second decision maker, and a babysitter to six fully-grown hosts.
