Special Event
ARTBAR
– Curated by Michaela Gleave
Look up at the sky this March at MCA ARTBAR driven by Audi, as we head into the Aether with this month’s artist Michaela Gleave, and have your mind scanned. Witness constellations of live ballerinas and take the solar system home in your pocket.
Join Kate Mitchell in her adventures down the rabbit hole, or follow Ray Norris out into the cosmos with the art and science of Indigenous Astronomy. Reach for the stars on the sculpture terrace with DJ Hubble and DJ Arianne.
Be overwhelmed by the sheer vastness of the Universe – but don’t fear – real astronomers will handle real telescopes to guide you home. Down below be awed by the microtonal musings of Amanda Cole and her trio of glass harmonicas and join Hossein Ghaemi and his troupe as they venture their way through the Museum.
Take a trip in the Space Elevator and prepare for a night of cosmology, costumes and custom cocktails and find out that space really is the final frontier.
It’s art but not as you know it
