Special Event

ARTBAR
– Fri 30 May, 2nd Birthday

ARTBAR: Fri 30 May, 2nd Birthday was one of the sessions.

Curated by Ross Manning

Ross performs with new semi-automated and self-composing instruments and brings a swag of independent Brisbane art-cohorts to deliver MCA ARTBAR titled ‘small voices’.

When he’s not working with the likes of Matthew Barney and Johnathan Bepler or Arto Linsey, Daniel Jenatsch produces new work for this edition of ARTBAR – a live 4 channel radio play.

Shift focus to the movements in Alrey Batol’s symphony of modified digital clock radios and microwaves on Level 2.

Catch Botborg, a sound performance, by Joe Musgrove in the Lecture Theatre.

Our very own Mark Brown, Beau Scott and Heath Franco (Sydney based in this equation) will take to the stage with post-industrial electro blues.

Throw your best shapes with sets form DJs Stoplifting, Dust Storm Jogger and Cultured Pearls on the Sculpture Terrace.
