The Museum of Contemporary Art is Australia's only museum dedicated to exhibiting, interpreting and collecting contemporary art from across Australia and around the world. With a continually changing program of exhibitions there's always something new, exciting and inspiring to see at the MCA.

Getting to the MCA

The MCA is located on the Sydney Harbour foreshore at West Circular Quay.

Nestled between Sydney's busy Circular Quay ferry terminal and the historic Rocks precinct it is close to all forms of public transport: bus, train and ferry.

Car parking stations are within walking distance to the MCA, located at: Harrington St, The Rocks and Macquarie St (Sydney Opera House Car Park).

Guided Tours

Free guided tours of exhibitions are conducted daily by MCA Volunteer Guides.

Access Information

The MCA welcomes all visitors and affirms its commitment to making its programs and services accessible to everyone.

Access:

Street level access is located at 140 George Street, The Rocks. Visitors with restricted mobility can enjoy all public areas of the Museum, including galleries and function areas.

Accessible Parking:

“Secure Parking” is available at 155 George Street in the Rocks. Enter via George Street where the Cahill Expressway crosses over George Street. Enter before 9:30am and exit between 4pm and 7pm on Monday-Friday for an early bird rate of $22.

“Secure Parking” is available at 55 Harrington Street in the Rocks. Enter between 7am and 9:30am and exit between 4pm and 7pm for an early bird rate of $22.

Valet parking is available for a flat rate of $26 at the Park Hyatt, 7 Hickson Road, The Rocks.

“Secure Parking” is available at Wynyard Lane beneath the Menzies Hotel. Enter between 6:30am and 9:30am and exit between 3:30pm and 7pm on Monday-Friday, for an early bird rate of $23.

Wheelchairs:

Can be borrowed at no charge from the Information and Cloaking desk situated in the Level 1 Circular Quay foyer.
